Welcome to Mrs. Kosmowski's and Mr. Hand's Classroom!

This year our curriculum includes English, Earth Science, United States History, Pre-Algebra, and Geometry.

In English, we will reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens and The Odyssey. We have already read Touching Spirit Bear, Mississippi Trial, and Romeo and Juliet.

During the remainder of 2nd trimester, we will be reading The Odyssey in English. There are worksheets posted below. 

For history, we started with the Civil War and Reconstruction. We are now moving on to the early 1900's and the development of cities and industry.

For geometry, we will be finishing up our unit on proof and then moving onto parallel and perpendicular lines.

Exams are scheduled for 2/29 and 3/1. All missing work needs to be turned in before exams. Reviews for exams will be handed out on Monday before exams, if not the week before. Students will be able to work on them in class, but should be studying at home, too.

 Classwork and Grades Minimize

Dundee Community Schools uses a computer program for tracking students' grades. All of your child's assignments and grades are posted daily to this website. This is the best way for you to stay up-to-date with your child's grade and to find out if he or she is missing any assignments.

If your child is absent, you can check to see what he or she has missed. 

Please check the Home Access Center regularly. If you have questions about your child's grade, you can e-mail me any time.
