We understand that the government shutdown and pause on SNAP benefits may be causing added stress for many families. Please know you’re not alone — we’re here to support you during this time.
Attached is a list of local food banks in Monroe County that can provide groceries and other essentials to families.
Another local opportunity is The Apothecary Kitchen right here in town, which will be offering Sunday meals for families. Please visit their Facebook page for more information.
We also have a Backpack Brigade program here in our district. Please click here for a letter with more details, along with the application form if you’re interested in participating.
