At approximately 2:00 PM today, Dundee Police informed the district of a 911 call involving an individual in the neighborhood near the high school and middle school who was reportedly at risk of self-harm with a firearm.
While the schools were never a target, we immediately entered a "soft lockdown" as a precaution. Once the Dundee Police Department confirmed the area was safe, the lockdown was lifted. As a result, students were dismissed a few minutes later than scheduled.
We appreciate the Dundee Police Department for their prompt communication and partnership in keeping our students safe.
