Our staff enjoyed two awesome presentations this morning for our professional learning time! Margot, Jenny and Lynn from the ISD mental health and literacy teams worked with us on our social emotional curriculum, Courageous Choices. Laurel and Whitney from the special education department at the ISD shared on inclusive practices for students with special needs and universal supports. What a valuable morning!

This week 4th grade classes explored the layers of the Earth with a fun and hands-on egg lab! The eggshell represented Earth’s crust, which we learned floats on top of the mantle (the egg white). The core (the yolk) represented Earth’s outer and inner core, which we learned are made mostly of nickel and iron!
