This week 4th grade classes explored the layers of the Earth with a fun and hands-on egg lab! The eggshell represented Earthās crust, which we learned floats on top of the mantle (the egg white). The core (the yolk) represented Earthās outer and inner core, which we learned are made mostly of nickel and iron!
