Mrs. Babcock's 2nd graders read the book Pumpkin Jack and are experimenting with watching their pumpkin decompose over time in the classroom. 🎃

This week DES has had the pleasure of hosting a team from the Intensive Literacy Coaching Institute. This team was made up of literacy coaches from all over the state of Michigan who are growing their expertise by practicing coaching cycles with our DES students and teachers. What an honor to host this amazing group of educators! 💙

Our 6th grade buddies visited Mrs. Bearden's kinder friends for some reading time 💙💙










Ms. Trudeau and the 1st grade team are working in collaboration on their "Balloons Across Broadway" project. Students are reading that book with their teachers and then planning and building their own Thanksgiving Parade floats in STEAM class. Before Thanksgiving, the first graders will parade through the building to show off their creations. 🦃🦃🦃

AM pick-ups for Elementary students who ride bus 25 will be running late on Tuesday, Nov. 4th. Elementary students who usually ride bus 25 will start to be picked up around 8:10 am. Please prepare students for the delay and have them wait at their bus stop to be picked up. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Dundee Community Schools will run an Auxiliary A bus schedule for all PM bus runs. Students on Bus #25 will be distributed to the other buses. Drop-off times will vary. Thank you for your understanding on the matter.
Our food service company, The Nutrition Group, celebrated the power of moments and the hard work that our kitchen staff puts forth every day at DCS!




Our TLC bankers are hard at work helping our Vikings to be savers! 💰💵



October was anti-bully month and our third and fourth grade students pledged to be kind all year long!
