Hats off to kindness day at DES

Riverside Students supporting Blue and Orange day for Kindness Spirit Week

This week 4th grade classes explored the layers of the Earth with a fun and hands-on egg lab! The eggshell represented Earth’s crust, which we learned floats on top of the mantle (the egg white). The core (the yolk) represented Earth’s outer and inner core, which we learned are made mostly of nickel and iron!

Today our 4th grade Student Voice group met with our food service department to discuss our likes and dislikes in the cafeteria. We practiced how to brainstorm, share our opinions and listen to one another with respect.
