Exciting day in Mrs. Schafer's 6th-grade science classes! Students had the opportunity to dissect Perch and Sea Lamprey as part of their hands-on learning in life sciences.

Our 6th grade class took a trip to the Lake Erie Water Festival today and had a blast! We learned about different water on the planet, how water effects the soil, and so much more. We used super soakers, went fishing, took air temperatures, and had some time to just hang out together after lunch. It was a great day!
A few 7th graders took a trip to Tiffany's Pizza as a reward for being the top students in the April ELA + Math IXL Learning Challenge!

Recently, Hinsley Orthodontics, in Tecumseh, held a special campaign inviting the community to vote for their favorite teacher - someone who goes above and beyond in the classroom. The winning teacher would receive a gift bag filled with teaching essentials, and of course, bragging rights!
We’re thrilled to announce that our very own 5th/6th grade teacher, Carrie Adrahtas, was nominated by one of her students, and she won by an overwhelming number of votes!

Your child has chosen a personal artwork that you can purchase. The cost is $15.00 matted or $35.00 framed, plus a small fee if you purchase using a credit card via the Infinite Campus School Store.
All proceeds will go to the Dundee Middle School Art Department for supplies.

Mrs. Draheim's 5th graders were inspired after learning about Michealangelo and decided to become artists themselves. They wrapped up the Renaissance unit by painting like he did. What a fun way to bring their learning to life.
**UPDATE** Middle School track practice has been cancelled today, 3/20/25.
Mrs. Draheim's 5th graders have been learning all about the Renaissance along with the incredible artists and sculptors that came from that moment in time like Michealangelo, Raphael, Da' Vinci, and Donatello. Today, they became sculptors themelves and created amazing works of art. We had fish, stars, tv characters, dolphins, turtles, slices of pizza, and even a chicken leg!
Last week, our 6th graders had an incredible opportunity to attend a virtual field trip with the Everglades National Park Rangers! 🐊🌾
The students loved learning about the diverse ecosystems within the park and discovering the amazing animals that call it home. A huge thank you to the Everglades National Park team for making this experience so educational and exciting!
Dundee Community Schools will be adjusting the schedule on Friday, April 11, 2025, from a full day to a half day. This change is being made to make up for the half day that was canceled last month due to inclement weather. Thank you for your understanding.
